Build Groups

An Incredibuild Build Group allows builds to be distributed across a group of Agents. The Build Group includes Initiator Agents and Helper Agents. A single Coordinator serves all the groups.

An Agent is assigned to a single Build Group, and by default, is assigned to the Default Build Group during installation. You can assign an Agent to a different Build Group during installation, or change its Build Group assignment from the Agent machine or Coordinator Monitor.

You can create Build Groups in the Coordinator Monitor > Coordinator Settings > Build Groups tab. Enter a name and click Add to create a new Build Group. Here you can also edit the name of an existing group, and delete Build Groups.

You can assign a Build Group to one or more Agents by selecting the Agent's check box, clicking the icon in Actions column, and then choosing Build Groups.

You can view which Build Group each Agent is assigned to in the Build Group column.
