Modifying Ports

Several ports need to be open for the operation of Incredibuild Linux. They can be changed directly during installation by using flags, or after installation in the Coordinator and Agent settings.

Agent Control Port Used for the communication between an Initiator Agent and a Helper Agent. 2088, 2089 Changed in Coordinator Settings only.
Coordinator Utility Port Used for the communication between the Coordinator and the Initiator and Helper Agents, for transferring system information and status about the machines that host the Agents. 9953 Must be changed in both Coordinator Settings and each Agent's Settings.
Coordinator Session Port Used for the communication between the Coordinator and an Initiator Agent 9952 Change in Coordinator Settings only.
Agent Webserver Port Used for the communication between your browser and the Web Management Console of the Agents. 8080 Change in each Agent's Settings only.
HTTPS Webserver Port Used for secure communication between your browser and the Web Management Console of the Agents. 8081 Change in each Agent's Settings only.

Secondary Coordinator Port

Used to connect from the Secondary Coordinator to the Primary Coordinator. To modify the port, see Secondary Coordinator.

Internal Coordinator Port

 Required by RabbitMQ, which is used by Incredibuild.

Message Transport Port

 Used for internal communication in the Coordinator. Only required for communication between Incredibuild components inside the Coordinator machine.

Modifying a Port in the Coordinator Settings

  1. Go to the Coordinator Manager > Settings area.

  2. In the Network area, change the ports as needed.

  3. Click Save all. In some cases, you may also need to update the port on every agent using the procedure below.

Modifying a Port in the Agent Settings

In some cases, modifying a port requires you to modify the settings of every agent.

  1. Open the Management Console of the Agent whose Agent Control Port you want to change, by opening the browser and entering the following address:
    http://<IP address of the Agent machine>:8080/Incredibuild/

  2. Click Agent Settings.

  3. In the Network tab, change the ports as needed.

  4. Click Update Settings and then Close.
