Site Survey Tool

This tool scans your environment to determine how beneficial Incredibuild will be, and to learn the best way to set up your system to work with Incredibuild. It is only run in coordination with an Incredibuild representative.

  1. Install Incredibuild

    Install an Incredibuild Coordinator and Initiator Agent on the machine that you want to use for this tool. The machine should be a valid build environment, but does not need an Incredibuild license.

  2. Prepare Build Commands

    The Site Survey tool will run a build on your machine 5 times, and run a clean command between each build.

    • Before you run the tool, make sure you can build the project on the Incredibuild machine using your standard build command.

    • Verify your build and clean commands with an Incredibuild representative.

  3. Run the Site Survey Tool

    After the commands are prepared, you will run the site_survey.sh.

    1. Enter your Company Name and Build Name (just for reference, does not have to be exact name).

    2. Enter the clean and build commands as verified with your Incredibuild representative.

    3. If you are asked, we recommend sending us the logs. Otherwise, they will be saved on your machine and you can send them to us manually.

    4. Wait for the survey tool to run your build five times.

    5. If you did not automatically send us the logs, send them to us when the tool is complete.
