Visual Studio Add-in

General

Integrated Build Monitor Options

Select one of the following options to control the behavior of the Build Monitor window integrated in the Visual Studio IDE:

  • Don't open Build Monitor window on build start - does not display the Build Monitor when starting builds.
  • Open integrated Build Monitor window on build start - opens the integrated (docked) Build Monitor inside the MS Visual Studio IDE when a build is started from the IDE.
  • Open floating Build Monitor window on build start - opens the floating (standalone) Build Monitor, when starting a build from the MS Visual Studio IDE.

Add-In Installation/Removal

Sometimes, due to installation issues, it is necessary to refresh Visual Studio integration and restore the Incredibuild IDE menu and toolbar. For example, if the Coordinator does a push to upgrade when Visual Studio is open on that machine, Incredibuild is not able to install the plug-in, meaning that the next time that Visual Studio is opened, Incredibuild may not appear in the menu.

From this section, you can restore, remove, or install the Incredibuild add-in (including the IDE menu and toolbar) into any of the Visual Studio versions installed on your machine.

To restore the Incredibuild add-in:

  • Select the checkboxes of the Visual Studio versions in which you want to restore the add-in, and then click the Restore Add-In button.

To install the Incredibuild add-in:

  • Select the checkboxes of the Visual Studio versions in which you want to install the add-in, and then click the Install Add-In button.

To remove the Incredibuild add-in:

  • Select the checkboxes of the Visual Studio versions from which you want to remove the add-in, and then click the Remove Add-In button.

Note

Removing Incredibuild from grayed out Visual Studio versions

[For Visual Studio 2017 and above] If the displayed Visual Studio version is grayed out, it means that Incredibuild extension was installed during the installation of Visual Studio. In this case, you cannot remove Incredibuild from the Agent Settings dialog box, but you can to remove it from Visual Studio IDE.

To remove Incredibuild from Visual Studio IDE:

  • Open the Tools menu > Get Tools and Features > Individual Components, and clear the checkbox of IncredibuildBuild Acceleration:
