Upgrading the Version of the Incredibuild Extension

If you need to install the latest version of the Incredibuild extension, use the following procedure:

1. Uninstall the extension from within Visual Studio. Make sure you do not uninstall using Incredibuild's external installation wizard or in any other way. This procedure may differ in different version of Visual Studio, the following example is from Visual Studio Community 2022 (17.4).

   1. Go to Extension > Manage Extensions.

   2. Locate the Incredibuild Build Acceleration extension and click Uninstall.

      

2. Download the latest version of Incredibuild from here.

3. Follow the instructions in the email you receive to install Incredibuild. During installation, make sure the keep the Visual Studio Integration option checked. This will automatically re-install the extension inside Visual Studio. For more details about the installation wizard, see Standard Installation.
