Setting changes require Admin permission and the Grid to be online and running
Incredibuild 10.36.0 or later - viewers see everything read-only. Some sections appear only on
Windows grids.
General
- Grid name - rename the grid.
- License details - read-only summary of the grid’s plan, license key, expiration, and core counts. Admins also get a Manage licenses link.
- Backup grid (Windows) - configure a backup coordinator, automatically used if the primary grid becomes unavailable. Shows a status of Ready, Version mismatch, or Offline.
- Access (Admins) - Remove grid removes the grid from the Incredibuild Console; your on-premises Incredibuild grid keeps running normally.
Performance
- Helper eligibility (Windows) - define the minimum available resources required for an agent to participate as a Helper: Min Free Disk Space, Min Free Physical Memory, and Min Free Virtual Memory (each in MB).
- Maximum cores per Build - the most cores a single build can use across the grid.
- Helper core allocation (Windows) - default percentage of each agent’s cores available for helping other builds (0–100%, default 100%).
- Automatic Cache Allocation - automatically allocate cache space to floating initiator agents.
Agent defaults
Sets the roles and behavior applied to new agents when they connect to the grid.- Default roles - the roles automatically assigned to a new agent:
- Helper - toggle on/off; when on, choose Fixed or Floating.
- Initiator - toggle on/off; when on, optionally enable CI Initiator (mutually exclusive with Initiator) and choose Fixed or Floating.
- Offline agent retention (Windows) - control how long offline floating agents remain visible in the Agent List. Turn on Retain offline floating agents, then set a Retention period of 1–60 days.
- Helper self-control (Windows) - Allow agents to control their Helper status. When on, agents can enable or disable helping from their own machine; when off, only grid admins control it.
